Styling the Dream Getaway

In February, we did a large install for Duke Homes in Bargersville’s newest community, Aberdeen. We had the opportunity to style and furnish the main living spaces of this dreamy home. We jumped at the opportunity to work with Duke again, they were fabulous during last year’s Home-A-Rama.

The beautiful home already had many stunning features from the stone fireplace, well appointed lot and the spacious floor plan with the owner’s suite on the main floor. Here is some inspiration and links from the Dream Getaway to create your dream home.

Kitchen

The cool toned kitchen with Intellectual Gray (SW7045) cabinets and white backsplash and countertops is large enough for any chef in the family. Dining Room

The dining room is surrounded by large windows on all sides which brings in lots of natural light. We complemented the Worldly Gray (SW7043) walls by styling the space with a pop of color in the area rug and accompanied with soft cream chairs, a dark wood table and a centerpiece.

Great Room

Take a look at the stone two-story fireplace and wood beams! This Arhaus sectional fits well into this open-concept floor plan. We incorporated wood and cream elements to create a warm and welcoming space. We want visitors coming to Duke’s Model Home to feel like this is their home-a relaxing and welcoming escape.

Home Office

The home office includes built-ins and cabinet space to store items. Tip when styling your home office: use minimal décor. In this space, we used larger pieces of décor to fill the shelves. Owner’s Suite

We continued the color story of using creams, grays, and wood tones to complement the Urbane Bronze (SW7048) accent wall. Did you know Urbane Bronze was selected as the color of the year in 2021 by Sherwin Williams? We used whites and creams to soften the space next to the darker wall. We love the spacious bathroom and check out the large vanity! The contrast of the dark wood flooring and Urbane Bronze cabinets with the white counters are beautiful.
